I am not a game developer, can I still attend?

Absolutely! This is event is for those who have a passion for games, not just those who make them. Who knows, you might attend and decide to enter the industry after all!

Where is the event taking place?

WGDS will be taking place at the UW-Milwaukee Student Union, 2200 E Kenwood Blvd Milwaukee, WI 53211, on April 20th-21st, 2013.

I am a student, do I get a discount?

Yep! Student pricing is available when you register for the event.

What should I expect at the summit?

The summit is based around a series of lectures, panels, workshops, and discussions. Each format covers a variety of tracks: Art, Design, Production, Programming, and Career Tips. If you are already in the business of making games, you will get a chance to learn from your peers and improve your knowledge and skill in your field. If you are a student or just interested in learning how to get started, you will learn what it takes to enter the games industry and hopefully walk away with some new knowledge on developing games.

Can I showcase a game that I built or am currently working on?

Certainly! There is an expo floor located outside of the Union Ballroom that will have table and booth space available. If you are interested in showcasing your game and letting others play it, send an email to wgds-info@uwm.edu and we will help you work out the details.
